Published in 2005, Naomi's children's book Gertie the Goldfish and the Christmas Surprise was based on her own pet goldfish, Gertie.
The charming holiday story was meant to be the first in a series. Naomi had big dreams for Gertie, hoping to write more tales that would help children grow emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually.
