Judd Family Meeting Rules
Judd Family Meeting Rules
Judd family meetings had rules to keep conversations respectful and productive. Naomi told TNN that her kitchen table was not only a place for eating but also for addressing conflict and learning from it. "This is where we grow."
Please note that while the term "powwow" appears in this document, it was a product of the 1990s, and we now understand that the word's use can be culturally insensitive. For more information and to learn about respectful language, please visit the National Congress of American Indians at www.ncai.org.
AUDIO: Naomi encourages her Personal Victory tape listeners to find a "quiet, comfortable place," and refers to her kitchen table as her own peaceful space.
