Naomi attended nursing school at the University of Kentucky campus in Lexington and then Marin College in California from 1975 through 1979. Degree in hand, she moved to Nashville where she worked as an RN while trying to nurture Wynonna's music career. Naomi's intention was to continue her education and become a doctor, but life had other plans.
